The Allen County SPCA has worked to find new homes for animals that we accept through shelter and adoption programs, public humane education efforts, spay/neuter promotion, and through community participation since the early 1950's. Some of our companion animals are family pets given up by their owners due to circumstances beyond their control. Many of our adoptable animals are those in the most dire need: abandoned dogs and cats who have been fostered, given proper medical care, and basic training. Donations, volunteers, and event sponsors are always needed and welcomed. ACSPCA is not funded by any city, state, or federal grants. Contact us if you would like to make a donation in honor of a person or pet for any occasion. It would make a thoughtful gift for the wonderful animal lover friend or family member in your life. We will send a card (or e-mail if you prefer) to the person you would like notified of your donation Our Mission Statement The Allen County SPCA will promote the prevention of cruelty to animals by providing:
- A safe haven for animals
- An effective and comprehensive adoption program
- Education and outreach programs for the community
- Rehabilitation and medical services
We are not-for-profit and receive no government funding of any kind, therefore, we rely on the generosity of members and friends in the community to provide for the cats and dogs, kittens and puppies aided by the ACSPCA. The ACSPCA does not destroy animals for population control.
