Become a Sustaining Donor:A Sustaining Donor pledges a total annual gift and chooses an amount to pay at regular (monthly, or quarterly) intervals. Examples: Pledge $300 annual donation at $25 per month. Pledge $1200 annual donation at $300 per quarter. Most Sustaining Donors choose the monthly option.
Why? For some Donors, it’s easier on the budget. For others, it allows the Donor to be a bit more generous because the amount is spread out across an entire year, rather than in a single lump amount. For others, it’s the satisfaction of knowing that he or she provides the “financial foundation” upon which the ACSPCA can plan and budget. Pledge payments provide a consistent and stable stream of donations with which to operate the organization. Steady, every month. Not just at year end, or holidays.
The Sustaining Donor receives the monthly newsletter, “paw prints,” as well as invitations to special events. A convenient page of “Pledge Coupons” is provided to use as payment reminders throughout the year.
Pledge payments are fully tax deductible since no gifts, goods, services or other benefits of any kind are provided in return for Sustaining Donations. For tax purposes, at the beginning of each year, we provide Sustaining Donors with a listing of their pledge payments in the prior year. Currently, Sustaining Donor pledges range from $120 to $2700 per year and many Sustaining Donors have pledged consistently year after year.

If you have not been a Sustaining Donor before, please think about how becoming a Sustaining Donor might fit well with your budget and your reasons for being a financial supporter.
To do so, indicate the level of annual Sustaining Pledge that would fit your budget and your goals and whether you’d like to pay monthly or quarterly. Include it with your first payment. |
