We are seeking a qualified candidate for the position of Animal Care Specialist / Adoption Counselor (Animal Care)

Responsibilities include: assuring the proper care of all animals in our charge, cleaning all areas of the facility, and assisting customers to adopt one of our pets. Knowledge Skills and Abilities: Must possess sight/hearing senses or the use of prosthetics that will enable these senses to function adequately to meet the requirements of the position/ must be capable of strenuous physical activity, including walking, running, stooping, bending, pushing, pulling, cleaning, climbing a ladder, lifting up to 50 pounds and handling large and/or difficult animals/ have the ability to read, write, and speak the English language frequently and correctly/ perform multiple tasks in an organized and efficient manner/ operate office equipment / operate mechanical equipment/ operate a large motorized vehicle/ maintain a professional demeanor/ handle difficult situations in a courteous manner/ follow written and oral instructions/ keep business information confidential/ transition between animal care tasks and working with customers and volunteers.

Must be: In good general health and demonstrate emotional stability/ professional demeanor and appearance.

Minimum Qualifications: At least 18 years of age/ High school Graduate/ Current tetanus vaccination/ current active driver’s license/ reliable transportation/ good credit history.
